We had a busy and fun Fourth celebration, but spent most of the weekend recovering. Most of last week was a blur of trying to get everything organized and making our place presentable. We got the lattice painted and in place just in time to have it out of the way for company. Now the beans can happily climb and I can tie up the tomatoes, which only one so far is big enough to require.

With the holiday done, I can refocus on the garden. Ears of corn are now starting to show everywhere. I need to do some reading on treating the ears to keep worms away. I believe there are several natural oils I could use, but I’m not sure yet what to use. Any suggestions and previous experience y’all would like to share would be appreciated!
